Why Heavy Metal Hygiene?

THE VALUE OF PERSONAL HYGIENE

The effects of personal hygiene, on blood lead levels, was examined by Esca Tech, Inc.  at a lead processing facility*. A strong correlation was demonstrated between the lead level in a person’s blood and the lead present on their hands. Workers in the study group who had high levels of skin contamination also had the highest blood lead levels. Workers who kept their hands and fingernails clean and uncontaminated by regular use of D-Lead® products maintained lower blood lead levels.

FASTEST REMOVAL OF METALS FROM THE SKIN

Surveys of industrial wash rooms show most workers invest less than 60 seconds cleaning up before breaks. Most conventional industrial soaps require 5 to 10 minutes of continuous washing just to remove powdered metals from the hands. This results in increased exposure from contamination left on the skin.

D-Lead® skin care products provide the fastest, most economical means to remove heavy metals from the skin and under the fingernails. They will quickly and safely wash heavy metals off the skin, including hands, arms and face in under 60 seconds. This ensures swift, safe, thorough decontamination of the skin and improved health and safety for your workers.

   PROVEN PROTECTION

Every successful safety program depends on individual personal hygiene practices to prevent worker exposure to hazardous materials.

Toxic materials can be present on skin, clothing, personal protective  equipment, lunch tables and every surface in the facility. They are easily transferred from person-to-person and can affect co-workers and family members.

Hazardous materials are ingested by hand-to-mouth, hand-to-food, hand-to-cosmetic and hand-to-cigarette transfers. To safeguard against these work hazards, facilities worldwide use Heavy Metal Hygiene products. These products provide the answer to fast, safe, efficient and thorough removal of metals from the skin, hair, clothing, equipment and all water washable surfaces.

The scientists at Esca Tech, Inc., that developed the D-Lead products,  combined the unique qualities of superior cleaning speed, efficiency, proven protection, fast contaminant removal, user safety and wastewater compatability. For over 20 years, our products have been a dependable, cost efficient and successful component of exposure control programs.
